Ruth Chandler Cook
Ruth is an entrepreneur who leads HireHer’s efforts to connect diverse talent with innovative industries faster. Through the HireHer technology and services Ruth enables employers to recruit, engage and retain diverse talent, advancing women and minorities beyond mid-career level. Likewise, STEM+ talent from student to executive is positioned to post or find a job, mentor, coach or sponsor leveraging the HireHer technology. Ruth builds and sustains a culture of engagement while designing workforce strategies that result in resilient, high performing teams. Ruth has over 20 years of experience in human resources management, including the development of HR information systems. Her work including policy initiatives in both the public and private sector have been recognized by awards and documented in various publications. Most recently Ruth served as the Acting Associate Chief Human Capital Officer & Director of Workforce Excellence & Engagement at the Department of the Treasury where she led headquarters human resources policy and oversight spanning 11 bureaus, and over 100,000 employees worldwide. Today, Ruth is fully committed to transforming workplace cultures worldwide as the leader of HireHer. Ruth obtained a masters degree from Georgetown in Human Resources Management, and holds an SPHR and SHRM-SCP certification.
