Founder
Erica is the Founder of Be Mohr LLC, a coach and corporate trainer, passionate about empowering others so they may thrive. As the Executive Director of the Sasamani Foundation, Erica builds education, employment, and empowerment programs to stop the cycle of poverty in Tanzania. Throughout her 20-year career as a Coast Guard officer, Erica led numerous organizational change efforts, including the creation of the service’s first-ever year-long professional development course for midlevel officers. As the Chief of Operational Planning for the Port of New York, Erica implemented a coordinated interagency planning process still in use today, earning the First District Innovation Award. Erica’s wide-scale impact also extends to her local community, as well. Her achievements were formally recognized by the Connecticut Women’s Hall of Fame in 2017 and the Southeastern Connecticut Chamber of Commerce in 2013. Erica earned a Bachelor of Science from the Coast Guard Academy in 1996 and a Master of Education from San Diego State University in 2002. In August, Erica graduates from the University of Pennsylvania with a Masters in Applied Positive Psychology (MAPP), focused on the study of human thriving. Although Erica’s legal residence is in Washington, DC she is usually found traveling the world connecting and collaborating with friends old and new.
