Lucrecia P. Johnson, Esq. LL.M. brings a breadth of legal experience to her position as the managing attorney and founder of LPJ Legal, a law firm based in Washington, DC.
As a solo practitioner, she represents clients in all aspects of business law and education law. Ms. Johnson handles draft agreements, contract disputes, government contracts, trademarks and formation of businesses. In addition, Ms. Johnson represents parents and guardians of children with disabilities by advocating for the child’s rights for school-based services that accommodate the child in the classroom. She also advocates for student’s rights in disciplinary hearings, custody, and privacy of student records.
Prior to hanging up her shingle, Ms. Johnson worked as a corporate litigation attorney in a large law firm based in Washington, DC. She has also worked as an Attorney in Maryland, litigating a variety of matters to include business, family and special education.
Coupled with her professional career, Ms. Johnson is also active in her local community, including being elected Chair-Elect of the Washington Bar Association Young Lawyer’s Division and Secretary of the Washington Bar Association. Because of her dedication to service, she was awarded “Young Lawyer of the Year” for the 2016-2017 bar year, and the Advocacy & Leadership Award for 2017-2018. She currently serves on the board of directors at Collaborative Solutions for Communities, and the Young Patrons Board at Arena Stage.
Ms. Johnson holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, a Juris Doctor from Elon University, and a Master of Laws in Trial Advocacy from American University Washington College of Law. She is admitted to practice in Maryland, the District of Columbia, and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland.
