Sophie Capshaw-Mack

Sophie Capshaw-Mack is completing a post-baccalaureate program at Columbia University on United Nations Studies. In her undergraduate career, she studied philosophy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, specializing in ethics. Her passion is for human rights and advocating for marginalized and silenced communities, which was why she founded the nonprofit, Survivor's Best Friend that unites shelter animals with survivors of sexual assault and/or domestic violence one adoption at a time. She is currently living in D.C., interning at Women for Women International, growing her nonprofit, and preparing for Master's programs in International Affairs.
